China To Cut Carbon Emissions…

…in 2050! This sort of news makes one wonder if it should be a cause for celebration of just all out frustration. China – the world’s most populous country — has been pumping out large amounts of carbon emissions over the past few decades. Carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is seen as the main culprit behind climate change. Many have put pressure on China to commit to cleaner forms of energy, but nothing has come out of it.
Until now. This is the first time that China has hinted at the possibility of it cutting its carbon emissions. While most of us probably won’t be around to see if China even makes good with its promise, it’s still nice to see that at least, China was willing to put a timeframe for reform.
Climate Change Could Be Responsible For Odd Bug Behavior

While most of us already know that climate change and global warming could be responsible for the terrifying intensity of typhoons and hurricanes that world gets every year, no one really pays attention to how these changes on Earth impact the way disease-causing organisms such as pest and parasites prey on us humans.
Chalk up one more reason why we should fight climate change.
According to experts and officials in Minnesota, the state has been seeing a lot more ticks compared to the past years. These ticks commonly attach themselves onto game such as deer and occasionaly, to humans.
These ticks have been known to cause Lyme disease. If left untreated, this illness can cause an assortment of permanent damage to a person’s nervous system and heart.
The proliferation of these ticks have been blamed on how the changing temperatures have tipped the ecological behavior of the little animal to expand its territory. This shows that the issue of climate change is not just something about the weather – it’s literally about everything in our daily lives including our very health.
Climate Change Brings Out The Giant Squid In Record Numbers

Imagine scuba diving off the warm waters of San Diego, California. Everything seems to be perfect – excellent visibility, water temperature’s that’s just right and the fish are plentiful.
Now imagine getting attacked by the Humboldt squid (otherwise known as the Jumbo Squid). These may seem soft-bodied critters but they can pack quite a punch. They have a very hard beak similar to a parrots and they can definitely bite off a chunk off meat off any diver.
San Diego divers have been reporting increased sightings and attacks. The squids have also been noted to go into shallower waters than before. With changing weather patterns, its really easy how the ecologic balance shifts to unfamiliar territory.
Thoughts of a Deserted Earth

With all the fuss about climate change, global warming and greenhouse gases in the air, you have to wonder on how long the earth can exist with living beings on it. Health and hunger are perhaps two concerns as we continue to find ways to avoid the unfortunate mishaps from happening.
Definitely, we are the cause of our own doing. Our irresponsible nature and total disregard for our resources in the pursuit of being successful in any endeavor are the main reasons why these things are occurring. Take discoveries for instance. For a person to gain fame and add to the growing knowledge of his curiosity, he has to use resources and eventually create waste that comes and goes back to the environment.
In short, the world we live in is acting as a medium to which we turn raw materials into something useful which is not bad. The bad thing is when we forget how much we use and if the end product will play an integral role towards affecting the world as a whole. No matter how small it may be, if it piles up, we will have a big problem in our hand.
Let us focus on pollution. These days, fuel and crude oil prices are headlining the news for their whopping prices. Many attribute it to politics while others admit that we just used up too many of it. The two reasons do sound valid but the thing is we fail to look at the other side of the fence. Just where did greenhouse gases come from? It came from our use of cars and industrial equipment. So why else are we suffering from climate change and global warming? Pollution is a key instigator.
So if all of these issues continue, who else will be around for the next century? Not a single life may be around and we all have ourselves to thank for it.
